9 months old

I can hardly believe that Griffin is already 9 months old. Here is an update on what is going on with our little guy....

  • He is on the move, he is like a super speed crawler.
  • He pulls up on everything and walks around the coffee table and from the couch to the chair via the ottoman.
  • He can clap.
  • He can wave bye bye.
  • He still doesn't sleep through the night.
  • He loves playing with his friends at school.
  • He loves to smile and laugh.
  • He is super attached to mommy lately and doesn't want anyone else.

King of the Jungle

Tucker was in his first school performance and he was a lion.

His class sang Bullfrogs and Butterflies.

He was a lion for Daniel and the Lions Den and was actually roaring while walking around.

 After the performance was over...
as you can tell someone enjoyed it.

Trick or Treat

This Halloween was the first year of Trick or Treating for both Griffin and Tucker. Tucker had a blast last night with his cousin going to the doors and saying Trick or Treat. Then he'd tell them thank you and wave goodbye. He didn't want to let go of his candy and put it in his bag, he carried a tootsie roll around for a long time and then ate it.

Griffin went as a gumball machine and Tucker went as Elmo.

Reading Time

Griffin got a hold of a magazine that Tucker was looking at the other day and tore it apart. Guess he wanted to look at the toys too.

Disinfecting

I have been disinfecting everything around the house in hopes that we can kick this bad virus and get it out of our home. The boys are both still wheezing a lot and Tucker is still coughing a lot. This evening as I was cleaning part of the carseat with warm soapy water Tucker decided he needed to play in it. Mommy didn't care as he hasn't wanted to play much over the past few days. He was concerned when he made a mess and even cleaned himself up.

Daddy's Little Boy

Griffin has been quite the Daddy's Boy today. Whenever Daddy would go Griffin would crawl over to him and pull up on him.

Fall = Sickness Season

Thursday Griffin just didn't look like he felt good so off to the doctor we went on Friday. Tucker was still coughing, after a month, so we figured we'd better get him checked out too. Griffin was tested for RSV and it came back positive. Both boys are wheezing and are now on an inhaler 3 times a day. Griffin also has an ear infection so he is on antibiotics. We made it 7 months without a real sickness for Griffin. Tucker is a pretty miserable patient and lays around and sleeps all the time. Griffin is pretty happy except for when he gets sleepy.

Here are some pictures from our sickness journey the past few days. The bottom is how my kitchen counter has been transformed to medicine central.

Climber

I can not believe that Griffin is 7 months old already. He hasn't quite mastered the appropriate crawling technique but gets where he wants to get around the room. He has started pulling up onto everything. I have a feeling he is going to be our little dare devil.

Sick Day

Last Thursday Griffin went to the doctor and was diagnosed with the mouth portion of hand foot and mouth disease. We went back to school on Friday, with Mommy coughing, and then Tucker came down with throat sores on Saturday. He ran a high fever all day while Mimi took care of him when Mommy and Daddy were at Ren Fest. Saturday evening Mommy started feeling crummy with ear pain. After we all lounged around Sunday Mommy went to the clinic on Monday with double ear infections. Tucker wasn't back to feeling 100% yesterday and neither was Mommy so we stayed home another day to recuperate. Tucker is back to normal today and playing lots. Mommy is feeling better but is still coughing lots.

Here are some pictures of the boys playing on our sick day.
