Pumpkin Carving Party

Tonight we headed to the Sunday School class that Mommy and Daddy have been visiting for their pumpkin carving party. Daddy had a good time carving the pumpkin while Tucker decided it was more fun to play with the toys in the backyard. Daddy did give Tucker a piece of pumpkin to eat and he actually ate some of it.

Fall has begun

Since our weather here in Houston has been a bit cooler Daddy decided that he wanted to make some pumpkin bread. Tonight he started mixing up the pumpkin bread and I decided that I needed to help him. I did a good job stirring up the sugar and helping Daddy to stir up the eggs into the mixture as well.

18 month shots = not a good thing

Yesterday morning we headed off to Dr. Ola's office for Tuckers 18 month check up. He checked out well and had to get three shots. He fell asleep on the way home and slept for about an hour and a half. He didn't eat much lunch and then we headed to Target to get a few things that we needed. Around 3:30 he started getting sleeping so Mark held him and he felt
warm so we gave him some tylenol. He woke up around 4:30 and he felt warm so I took his temperature it was 102. His fever continued to climb to almost 105. His little heart was racing from the high fever and he was shaking, it scared mommy. We gave him more tyelnol at 7:00 and gave him a luke warm bath but his fever didn't break until he threw up all over mommy and himself. It went down to 103 and he slept until 9:00. Mommy talked to the on call nurse and she said that 20% of all babies have this reaction to the shots. Once Tucker was awake we gave him motrin and pedialtye. He fell back asleep until 2:30 and his fever was finally down to 99. At 3:30 he wanted to eat some he had some goldfish, after not eating for 12 hours, and drank a lot of pedialtye. He went back to sleep from 4:00 to 6:30 and woke up still running the low grade fever. He has been eating lots of goldfish and drinking pedialyte this morning and is running around and playing.

Mini Mark

Lately Tucker has been getting really good at putting things inside of things like shapes in a sorter and a pen in a screw hole. Tonight Mommy had to undo some screws to put batteries in his train. As soon as I was done he of course wanted the screwdriver from me and promptly turned the train upside down to do what Mommy had done. He got the screwdriver in the hole and started turning it. Mark said I better be careful because before too long I'll start to find little pieces of things around the house and that I should probably save them.

Bubbles

Tucker loves to play bubbles at Mimi and Pop's house.

Corn

Yesterday Tucker and Mommy went with Mimi and Pop to see Gigi and PePaw. After we spent some time at their house we headed to eat lunch at Spring Creek BBQ. Tucker enjoyed eating sausage, mac-n-cheese, fried okra and especially the corn on the cob. He has has corn before but never off the cob, he went to town on it.
