Trunk or Treat

Tucker got dressed up in his "Monster" costume to go and see his Mimi and Aunt Jennifer at their churches Trunk or Treat last night. He fell asleep on the way there and slept through most of walking around and seeing all of the different vehicles decorated. He did wake up before we left though and got to take a picture with Mimi

Oatmeal Cereal

Tucker went for his 6 month check up on Friday. Tucker now weighs 14 lbs 15 oz and is 24 1/2 in long! Boy is my boy growing fast. Dr. Ola said that we could start trying cereal. This morning Tucker had oatmeal cereal for the first time. He wasn't too sure what to think of it and spit out more of it than he actually ate at first. Then he started thinking this is pretty good stuff and was opening his mouth as soon as I got the spoon close to his mouth.

Peek-a-boo

Tucker decided to entertain himself tonight by playing peek-a-boo.

This is how we found him on the floor.

Then he rolled over and this was the face he was making.

HPU Homecoming

This past Friday Mommy and I loaded into Mimi's car and made a caravan with Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Kicken and my cousins EmmyKate and Easton headed to Brownwood to see where Mommy and my aunts went to college at Howard Payne.

Here I am with my HPU shirt on that says
Someone who loves me graduated from Howard Payne University.

Mommy and Me  near the H Pond on campus.
A professor used to keep his alligator in there, or at least that is what mommy told me.

Mommy, Me, Aunt Kicken, EmmyKate, Aunt Jennifer and Easton sitting on the HPU sign.

I was very tired from the trip. This is how I fell asleep in the car on the way home, I wouldn't let go.

Ear Infection

Sunday night after we got home from the Ren Fest Tucker was very cranky and clingy. I had a feeling his ear was bothering him because once on Saturday and then again on Sunday he screamed out in his sleep like he was hurting. He felt really warm to me and so we took his temperature it was 101.7. I called the on call nurse and she told me to give him Tylenol if his fever got over 102 and to put a humidifier in his room and to go and see the doctor in the morning. I did what I was told and put him to bed, he was up shortly after since he was very stuffy and it hurt his ear for him to lay down. I fed him again and held him on the couch and we both slept. After spending the rest of the night in the swing we headed to Dr. Ola's office early Monday morning with Mimi. We saw Dr. Ola and she said that his left ear was very red compared to the right. She tested him for RSV and the flu and they came back negative. She sent us off with our first round of antibiotics and deadening ear drops. Tucker and I got back from the doctor and both put on our pj's and hung out together on the couch. He wanted to be held when he was asleep so that's what I did. Tucker didn't want anyone else to hold him so I decided to stay home with him on Tuesday too. Here is Tucker on Tuesday night after being on his medicine for over 24 hours and finally getting some good rest.

Texas Ren Fest

This morning, the coldest morning yet since Tucker has been home, we headed to Walmart to get a warm jacket, hat and some bigger socks. With all our cold weather clothing we headed to the Texas Ren Fest in the chilly 54 degree air. Tucker had lots of fun being bundled up in his stroller. As soon as we got there he had to eat of course and then we went to watch a magic show. He had fun standing on mommy and watching the magic show. He loved to people watch and spent a lot of time being bundled up in the stroller to keep warm from the chilly air. Overall we had a great day at our first big outing as a family.

Evenings

Our evenings are spent with lots of time playing on the floor which includes lots of rolling. He has gotten really good at rolling across the floor to get where he wants to go. We also spend lots of time standing up, it is our most favorite thing to do. He even likes to try and take steps when we are holding him up.
